Getting started

3 min read

ThreatHarvest is a web app. After you open https://app.threatharvest.com, sign in on the hosted login page. When that succeeds, you return to the app.

  1. Go to https://app.threatharvest.com.
  2. You are redirected to auth.threatharvest.com for authorization.
  3. Enter your email and password.
  4. After a successful sign-in, the auth host returns you to the app via its callback URL.

If your account already has a company, you typically land on Overview (/overview). Brand-new accounts with no company yet enter first-run setup instead — see below.

Reset password

On the login screen, use the Reset password link if you cannot sign in. Enter the account email, then follow the reset link in the email you receive. After you set a new password, you return to Overview (/overview).

You can also start a password reset from Account → Your Profile → Reset Password while signed in — that path uses the same email and reset form. See Account: profile, email, and users → Reset Password.

Open the app signup path (for example https://app.threatharvest.com/signup) or use Sign up on the hosted login page. The product opens the form to create your account.

When you open /signup with no existing session, the first screen asks for an email and a create password field.

If you open an invite link while signed out, you create an account or sign in first — see Accepting an invitation → Signed-out invite. New accounts typically also receive a verify-email message — see Verify your email. If email is not verified yet on the invite / new-account path, you are prompted to verify via that link before you name your organization. Teammates who are already signed in and choose Accept Invitation join an existing company without first-run setup — see Accepting an invitation.

First-run company setup

After signup — or whenever the signed-in account has no company yet — opening the app (for example https://app.threatharvest.com/) takes you to company setup (/setup).

If setup is already complete (your account already has a company and plan), returning to company setup sends you to Overview instead.

Step 1 — Name your organization

Setup opens with the product message Intelligence starts here — Start monitoring to act before attackers do. Enter your organization name to continue.

Step 2 — Select a plan

Choose a plan (Starter, Standard, or Premium). Card blurbs and monthly prices match the live pricing catalog — the same figures as on the Pricing page.

After you choose a plan, continue to Stripe checkout.

After you continue — payment, then Overview

Complete Stripe checkout. For free trial details, see the Pricing page.

When checkout completes, the app takes you directly to Overview (/overview).

From there, continue with Navigating the app and Configuration to add attributes and start monitoring.

  • Accepting an invitation — the invite email. If you're signed out, you create your account, verify your email if asked, and then name your organization. If you're signed in, Accept Invitation takes you to Overview and skips company setup for that company.
  • Verify your email — the verification email and its link, what happens if you're already verified, and verifying before you name your organization on a new account.

Common questions

Where do I change my password?

Use Reset password on the login page, or Reset Password under Account → Your Profile.

I was invited to a company — do I pick a plan?

Not when you Accept Invitation while signed in — that joins the company's existing account and lands on Overview. Plan and billing stay with the organization. If you open an invite link while signed out with a new account, you sign up first and, after verifying your email, may be asked to name your organization. See Accepting an invitation.
